The Faculty of Humanities, part of our university since 1949, bases its conception of humanism through research, teaching, extension, and technical assistance in the fields of philosophy, history, languages, linguistics, literature, education, communications, psychology and various expressions of human, cultural and social knowledge. In a context of deep political, social, and economic changes that marked Latin America in the last decades, this faculty has undertaken a leading position in higher education, both in professional training and in the development of multidisciplinary research, through innovative thinking.
