Scientific knowledge can and should be considered as the factor that catalyzes   the progress and success of the country when it is based on research as well as development and  innovation. On the basis of this principle, the Universidad de Santiago defines the priority areas of research related to the needs of the nation, its regions and localities.

To meet this challenge, the University has as its axis the Vice Presidency of Research and Development that generates and coordinates all the actions that the University carries out in the field of scientific research.

In this section, there are subjects related to the activity of this Vice Presidency, information about our centers and institutes of scientific research, Mecesup programs and diverse publications.
